I am Conrad Charles Bilney, a Kokatha man with Wirangu family lines through my father.
I was born at Kimba in South Australia and grew up across places that shaped me hard and early — Davenport Mission, Eden Park Boys Home, Mount Barker, and later the old learning places of universities and research.
My book, From Old Fire to New Learning, tells that story in my own voice.
It carries family, Country, culture, education, science, humour, pain, and survival.
Kokatha Lineage Press was created to publish this work properly and keep control of the story where it belongs.
Born in 1955
